LADS Africa was honoured to participate in the 2025/26 Korea Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP)–African Development Bank (AfDB) Joint Consulting Programme, held in the Republic of Korea. The programme brought together policymakers, higher education institutions, innovation leaders, researchers, and development partners to exchange knowledge and explore strategies for strengthening innovation ecosystems, technology commercialisation, and sustainable enterprise development.
Held under the theme "Leveraging Korean Expertise to Establish Sustainable Enterprise Supporting Initiatives by Zimbabwean Higher Education Institutions," the programme focused on fostering collaboration between Zimbabwe and the Republic of Korea while promoting knowledge exchange in innovation, technology transfer, entrepreneurship, and commercialisation.
A defining moment of the programme was the presentation by LADS Africa Director, Eng Maposa, who shared the LADS Africa journey with an international audience of policymakers, innovation leaders, academics, and development partners. During his presentation, Eng. Maposa outlined the company's evolution from a startup incubated through the Harare Institute of Technology (HIT) Innovation Hub to one of Zimbabwe's leading technology companies, demonstrating how locally developed solutions are addressing real-world challenges across both the public and private sectors.
His presentation highlighted LADS Africa's commitment to innovation, technology commercialisation, and the development of impactful digital solutions that continue to transform public-sector service delivery, strengthen local governance, modernise institutions, and contribute to Zimbabwe's socio-economic development. He also reflected on the importance of university-driven innovation, strategic partnerships, and technology commercialisation in nurturing sustainable enterprises capable of competing on the global stage.
The programme also provided valuable insights into the Republic of Korea's globally recognised innovation ecosystem, technology transfer frameworks, startup incubation models, and enterprise support initiatives. These engagements offered an opportunity to learn from international best practices while exploring practical approaches that can strengthen Zimbabwe's innovation and commercialisation ecosystem.
As a technology company incubated through the Harare Institute of Technology Innovation Hub, LADS Africa continues to demonstrate the value of transforming research and innovation into practical, market-ready solutions. Participation in this prestigious international programme reinforces the company's commitment to fostering innovation, building strategic global partnerships, and developing world-class digital technologies that address local challenges while creating opportunities across Africa and beyond.
LADS Africa extends its sincere appreciation to the organisers of the Korea Knowledge Sharing Program, the African Development Bank (AfDB), the Government of the Republic of Korea, and all participating institutions for providing an invaluable platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation.
As LADS Africa continues to expand its global footprint, the company remains committed to showcasing Zimbabwean innovation on the world stage while delivering transformative technologies that empower communities, strengthen institutions, and drive sustainable development.
Together, we are demonstrating that Zimbabwean innovation has the potential to shape the future—not only at home, but across Africa and the world.
